Natural Home
Here are the products I currently use around our home.
Laundry
Laundry has been a struggle for me since they changed the amount of water the washers use to clean (or not clean) the clothes. We use our laundry detergent from Azure Standard (linked below) and we use white vinegar in each load for smell. I use Truly Free Angels in the dryer for a fresh smell that isn’t too powerful .
Windows
I know how people feel about microfibers, but nothing cleans windows like the E-Cloth window set which I have used for years. I love that it only takes water and nothing else. These work well on our car windows as well. This is a frequent chore, thanks to the dogs!
Cleaners
I have made my own cleaner for several years which was a combination of water, vinegar, dish soap and essential oils, but have also used Truly Free Cleaners.
1 1/2 cups distilled water, 1/2 cup vinegar ( I soak lemon rinds in a half gallon jar of vinegar for this very purpose), 1 tsp dish soap, 20 drops lemon essential oil.
Dogs
I use my homemade soap bars made for dogs, but I do use Chris Christensen finishing spray after their bath/grooming because it makes them nicer for longer. Nothing natural about it, but 80/20…right! I also use Tula Wilde’s all purpose salve for their paw pads.
Dish Soaps
I have made them all and only Seventh Generation does what I need it to do. I like the citrus scent, and buy it in bulk. I do like having different wooden/natural bristle brushes as well as handmade dish cloths. I use Avery Marie dishcloths which can be found at The Farm.
