Acorn Squash
I have made acorn squash in so many ways. This was the way my mom made it when I was a child and the way my kids like it best. I make sure to measure out the maple syrup or my kids will use half the bottle.
1 acorn squash for each member of the family
maple syrup
cinnamon
salt
butter
water
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Get out your trusty 9x11 Pyrex dish. You may need more than one if you have a large family. Pour 1 inch of water into dish.
Cut your acorn squash in half from stem to belly button.
Place them cut side down into water. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Keep an eye on water levels. They should be soft when you poke them.
